Superb sounds!! After being super quiet we are now hearing A4 calls on Parson Island hydrophone after Momoko heard blows passing south through Blackney Pass from her tent. It seems like the whales are coming back!  Lucy, Lauren and Momoko 05 Aug 2016 20:29:28 PDT No orcas present. Quiet day here at OrcaLab, the last calls we heard were from the A34s and A46 at 1:40am on our Flower Island Hydrophone. Since then we have had reports of whales to the north. At 10:40 we had a report that a big group of whales (maybe the A24s and A42s) were at Mastermand Island slowly going east. The Naiad reported at 12:42pm that the As were '5 nautical miles' from Malcolm Point and also heading east. Here at OrcaLab, we are patiently waiting for them to start vocalizing again!
