Multiple pod calls audible. Sounds like they are off the entrance of Blackney Pass. Must be from the A42s who were off Telegraph Cove earlier. The A4 group has been quiet now. (also keep an eye on the 'cracroft underwater' camera... it's actually the rubbing beach and has been mislabelled)  Lucy 06 Aug 2016 17:52:03 PDT No calls but orcas nearby Megan has sent us a report from the Kaluta saying that the A24s are heading east in the reserve, but the A42s and C10s are currently westing 1 mile east of the western boundary of the reserve. There is also a report of 2 male orca and 1 small fin heading west at the north side of Malcolm Island. Nothing on the hydrophone yet- but we are ever hopeful! It will hopefully be up again soon! We are also hearing A5 calls on CRPT and have spotting (from afar) some Orca on the CP camera. We became aware of new visitors, the Cs, in Blackfish Sound, at about 5:10am this morning. This was about an hour after we lost track of the A4s and A5s in Johnstone Strait. The Cs are moving slowly through Blackney Pass towards Johnstone Strait .
