Distant calls audible. We are hearing A5 calls. Sounds like they are near the Bight. Probably they are heading west. We heard some A5 calls on Critical Point hydrophone. The calls must be from the A42s who were reported off Bauza Islets earlier. They have been quiet now. Momoko & Megan H 09 Aug 2016 18:58:54 PDT No calls but orcas nearby The A42s,turned west from the Main Rubbing Beach at around 11;40am. From there they went west to Robson Bight where they milled a bit before heading west. We last heard calls on the Critical Point hydrophone at 12:57pm when they were still headed west in Johnstone Strait.At 3:36pm it was reported that they were seen off the Bauza Islets (just east of Telegraph Cove). Chelsea  09 Aug 2016 17:36:46 PDT Superb sounds!! We just had the A42s on the Rubbing Beach overwater camera, and Cameleon (A88) decided to give us a show on the underwater camera too! They can now be heard on the critical point hydrophone.  Lucy 09 Aug 2016 12:00:15 PDT The orca (thought to be the A42s) have made it as far as the estuary in the reserve, Marie reports from the Cliff. We've had only a couple of calls on the Critical Point hydrophone, but hopefully they'll start making some noise again soon! Few A calls heard on Parson Island and CP hydrophone, and there were some blows clearing into the strait. We are not sure yet if it's the A42s came into Blackney Pass briefly, or incoming A4 group into Johnstone strait.
