No calls but orcas nearby

Alex Morton just reported G-clan calls on Flower Island. A lot of static and interference right now, but if it clears it may be a good day.

Distant calls audible.

Good morning! Just started hearing calls on the CP and PI hydrophones. There is a bit of boat noise and static this morning so the calls are hard to hear but they're there!

Superb sounds!!

Pretty sure the I15s have passed Robson Bight by now but if you can, go to: http://explore.org/live-cams/player/orcalab-robson-bight and scroll back to see the whales passing the Bight. Boat noise is better now, just the sound of the birds in the Bight. Thanks David and Brittney for following the I15s through from Blackney Pass and into Johnstone Strait.

Distant calls audible.

We just had a large group of Orcas pass the lab heading south! They're currently on the explore CP camera easting in Johnstone Strait. We;ve counted 6 females, 2 calves and 2 males all spread out in twos and fours. http://explore.org/live-cams/player/orcalab-cracroft-point-surface.
