No orcas present. Yesterday David and Brittney heard G clan calls in Johnstone Strait around 5am. Alex Morton later that morning reported seeing a group pass Donegal Head headed west. Jared Towers went out and located the I15s spread out in Queen Charlotte Strait searching for a bite to eat. Last year the I15s also came in during the winter. Helena 23 Feb 2016 10:30:52 PST |

No orcas present. It's been pretty quiet here at the lab for the last few days. We've been enjoying some nice February sun, though. The sea lions are still hauled out just down the way and the Harlequin Ducks are swimming by our little cabin every day! Hopefully we'll hear/see some orcas soon! :) Brittney + David 20 Feb 2016 16:07:53 PST |
