We are hearing super faint calls on CP hydrophone. We started hear them on CP hydrophone at 9:40pm. At least the A5s and the A30s are there. Right now we are hearing humpback calls on CP hydrophone!

Distant calls audible.
Sorry we have been working on our Internet and have a connection right now. So time for a summary. This morning the A42s went west from Robson Bight all the way to Beaver Cove. They were followed by the A23s and A25s who didn't however go quite as far as their pod mates. Meanwhile the A30s came east fro mthe top end of Hanson and slipped north through Blackney Pass. Around 12:15 the whale watch boats reported the A5s turned. The A23s and A25s carried on back to the Bight but the A42s most likely headed through Weynton Pass to meet up with the returning A30s in Blackfish Sound. While the A23s and A25s moved past Critical Point in Robson Bight the others remained in Blackfish foraging (for hours). We have kept receiving reports of them moving east but it seems to be mostly about finding fish. They have been very vocal. Less so the A23s and A25s who turned west back to the Robson Bight area. Not sure where they are at the moment.

No calls but orcas nearby
Very quiet whales this morning but lots of activity. The A42s continued west and entered Beaver Cove and stayed there! The A30s approached Blackney Pass from the west and entered Blackney Pass heading north into Blackfish Sound a while ago. And the A23s?25s are west bound headed to the Wastell Islets near Telegraph Cove. Donna Mackay reported around 11 that there was a large group headed west off Duval Point near Port Hardy and an hour later that there was a group heading west through Goletas Channel. This last report mentioned a flopped over dorsal fin so perhaps the Bs.

No calls but orcas nearby
The A5 calls we heard to 6am near Robson Bight might have been the A42s who are now well west of the Bight heading west from the Wastell Islets near Telegraph Cove.

No calls but orcas nearby
The last calls we heard were A5s around 6am. They were probably near Robson Bight, not sure of direction.
