Helena  11 Aug 2015 17:38:40 PDT No calls but orcas nearby A group of Biggs whales popped up fairly close to Hanson Island coming from Blackfish Sound. It turned out to be the same group seen earlier off Village Island. Jared let us know that it was probably T124A1, the T59s and T90s. Momoko managed to get pictures which confirmed this. Here is a brief summary: The A30s went north after helping to usher in the I15s. Some of the I15s followed the A30s into Blackfish Sound and while the A5s slipped to the east the other half of the I15s stayed in the Strait. Eventually, the I15 group who followed the A30s returned to the Strait via Blackney and travelled east past the east end of the Reserve around 5:15am.
