Distant calls audible.
The latest calls have been from the I15s who stayed in Johnstone Strait. It seemed like they were off the entrance to Blackney Pass but closer to the Vancouver Island side. Perhaps they are gong west to rejoin the rest of their pod.

This has been interesting! The A30s brought part of the I15s into Blackney Pass and headed north. The rest of the I15s are following the A5s to the east. The lead group has passed through the Reserve and continued eastward. No idea what has happened to the C10s who were last seen/heard heading west in Johnstone Strait before the arrival of the groups through Weytnon Pass.

Multiple pod calls audible.
After a noisy entry into Johnstone Strait all the whales went quiet. The A5s started up again as the groups move eastward to the area off the entrance to Blackney Pass. Some groups are on the Vancouver Island side while others are more mid strait. We have also heard the A30s.

The big group took Weynton Pass to enter Johnstone Strait. We started hearing I15s and others on CRPT hydrophone.

We are edging closer to completing the changes to our Network. The guys have been working flat out for several days. We do not yet have audio but the camera: http://orcalab.click2stream.com is up and running so you can enjoy Blackney Pass once again. We have had word that the A30s, A23s,A25s are heading back in and are approaching Lizard Point. (they went north at 4am this morning) and they are bringing company! The I15s and others. Stay tuned. The C10s have been sleeping every since their western trek up the Strait this morning. They are near the Ecological Reserve now and very quiet.
