Superb sounds!!

The A5s led the way back and the others followed. There have been some great calls as they re-enter the Bight.

Multiple pod calls audible.

By 4:30pm most of the whales were finished at the Beaches at 4;30pm and we are not picking up I15 calls again as the groups come west.

Orcas rubbing on the shore bottom.

These very social I15s and A30s are extending their rub on Strider beach to the main one. Meanwhile, the A8s moved out of beaver Cove to the west to Bauza at 3:45pm.

Superb sounds!!

Some of these groups are right there off Critical Point. Marie let us know that the rest of the A30s, including A38 with the I127s, again are spread out below the Cliff on the other side.

Multiple pod calls audible.

After milling and foraging off of CP for a long time the I15 and A30s that were there have finally moved on to the east. We can hear the I15s getting louder so this may be part of their group that were on the far shore. We can also hear the A30s in behind these whales. Wonder if the A8s are still near Beaver Cove.

Distant calls audible.

We need to correct the idea that it was the A8s over by Kaikash Creek earlier. They are actually still westing to Beaver Cove! It must have been part of the I15/A30 group.

Distant calls audible.

Sorry a bit slow today! The groups continued to the west and Marie noticed that one group had turned back east by 12:27pm and were off Kaikash Creek headed for Izumi. She had the thought that this was the A8s. The others (the I15s and A30s) turned further west and are now approaching the CP area.

No orcas present.

No orca calls for a while, but we are hearing dolphins now. Their calls are on Critical point hydrophone.
