We didn't have time to post any notices as we were suddenly aware of a small group of orcas heading south in Blackney Pass. One male and 3-4 smaller fins. They are headed to Cracroft Point where Mark and Anna are standing by. meanwhile, to the west the Lukwa is with a very large group of yet to be identified orcas in the Beaver Cove are. Estimates are up to 15 with one group of nine. Helena 19 Sep 2013 11:52:43 PDT |

Some Orcas entered Blackney Pass heading South. They were not vocalizing so we don't know yet, who it is. Turned on the camera. OL Crew 19 Sep 2013 11:25:18 PDT |

We heard calls just before 11:05am but were unable to source the calls. The whale watch boats are sorting out who they are with near Telegraph Cove. Helena 19 Sep 2013 11:15:08 PDT |

This morning 3 orcas were sighted near the Pearse Islands. They were headed east toward the Stephansons (Larry Roy report). The whale watch boats did not locate these whales but Jim Borrowman later spotted 6-8 orcas heading west toward Telegraph Cove at 10:35 am. (not sure if this sighting is related to the earlier one) The Lukwa reported just now that these whales went into Telegraph Cove and circled around. No Ids yet. Helena 19 Sep 2013 11:06:35 PDT |
