No orcas present.

The whales (the A30s,A34s,A36s and the I15s) were in Queen Charlotte Strait all day. Before 4pm they were off Bere Point and still headed west. No word on the A8s.

No orcas present.

The group of Pacific white-sided dolphins passed Blackney pass. Seems like they are heading Baronet pass. We are hearing them on Parson Island hydrophone.

Multiple pod calls audible.

Another rush through Blackney! The A36s who are already in Blackfish Sound led the way. It is incredibly foggy again with just enough visibility to make out a few fins as they flew past. Following the A36s were the A30s, I15s and A34s. This leaves only the A8s unaccounted for perhaps still east.

Multiple pod calls audible.

Sounds like the converging groups are sorting themselves out off the entrance to Blackney Pass.

Multiple pod calls audible.

It sounds like all the A1 groups are there this morning. If so, it will be the first time they have been here together (in the same place) this summer!

Multiple pod calls audible.

And now we have the I15s as well. Sandra wondered if she had heard blows in Blackney Pass at 5:30am. Perhaps they were returning then. And the A30s?

Superb sounds!!

And now on to Robson Bight. The A34s are off Critical Point now.

Orcas rubbing on the shore bottom.

A early morning rub! Sounds like the whales (the A34s at least) from the east are making their way back.
