Multiple pod calls audible.

An I15 groups was first to come west and into Blackney Pass. They were followed by another I15 group and the A30s. What did the A8s do?

Multiple pod calls audible.

As the A30s and some of the I15s headed west, the A8s and a few more I15s passed Critical Point quite closely. Everyone is westbound.

Orcas near mics.

The A8s made it there first! The are off the Main Rubbing beach with the I15s not too far away.

Superb sounds!!

The A30s I15s & A5s are now eastbound in the Strait, heading towards the Reserve, after a great session of foraging off CP that lasted a couple of hours. Looked like they were feasting! Meanwhile, we've heard from Mark @ Campbell River that the A36 brothers have been foraging at the other end of Johnstone Strait, and were last seen heading slowly west from Kelsey Bay at 2pm.

Distant calls audible.

The A30s and the A5s at least have made it back into Johnstone Strait by going through Weynton Pass. We are waiting to see if the I15s are still with them.

And they all cleared. It was a nice pass from some of the I15s and the A30s followed by more of the I15s and finally the A8s. They are travelling through Blackfish Sound now.

Sounds like the orcas have continued to the east, past the rubbing beaches.
