Distant calls audible.
The A30s have become distant - did they continue to the west? We still have questions: are the A5s going with them? Did they turn back to the east? They are still in Johnstone Strait.

Orcas near mics.Sorry, we were down momentarily but are up and running agin. The A30s are quite spread out. Someone is calling into Blackney Pass but the others are still out further into the Strait with the A5s. This could change, the tide is ebbing, but for now we are waiting to see what the final decision will be.

Ah, the A30s,A25s and A23s are off the entrance to Blackney Pass. They did a swing around and are now perhaps staging to come into Blackney Pass (at least we hope so!)

The A30s came as far as Kaikash Creek and then turned just a short while ago back to the east. The others (the A23s and A25s) remained closer to the Izumi area according to the Lukwa. However A60 was mentioned as being a bit further west.

With the A5s (the A23s and A25s) in the lead the whales are progressing westward away from the rubbing beaches and towards Robson Bight.

Distant calls audible.

Last night we were hearing the A30s distantly on Critical Point. These calls continued until 0430am. At this point we heard them no longer.Unsure of the direction they went.
