No orcas present.
We've heard no calls since around midnight, when we thought the whales were to the east of the Reserve, but don't know what happened after that. We are waiting.

No orcas present.
A slightly perplexing day.... the A30s showed up off Bear Bight (lower Johnstone Strait). They headed west and the Naiad Explorer intercepted them near to Kelsey Bay. They were still westbound but still going very slowly at 3:30pm. Meanwhile, the I15s were seen in Queen Charlotte Strait. We last heard them, along with A1s and the I31s,at midnight. The lack of any sightings in Johnstone Strait might suggest that the groups of last night, with the exception of the A30s, left the area to the west silently. It is believed that the group that was coming east yesterday afternoon in Queen Charlotte Strait were the Rs!
