The distant calls are from an I31 group. Meanwhile, it sounds like others are nearing Robson Bight Bight.

Multiple pod calls audible.

We are now thinking that the A30s have come on scene, perhaps around 8:20am, when they neared Critical Point. There are now also I15 calls in the mix of A36s, A12s and I31s.

Distant calls audible.

After moving into the Ecological Reserve, the A12s and the A36s moved east of Critical Point, while the I15s and the I31s stalled in the Bight. Now, the general movement is to the west. We heard the A12s briefly move close to the Main Beach before the shift to the west.

The A12s,A36s,I15s and I31s are west bound past thearea off entrance of Blackney Pass. The A30s were located off Kelsey Bay, before noon, headed west as well.

It sounds like from the reports (Gikumi) and the vocals that all the groups exited Johnstone Strait via Weynton Pass and are now headed east in Blackfish Sound. A12 was travelling with the A36s (Naiad Ex report)

Multiple pod calls audible.

This was exciting for us as it has been a while since we have seen whales. The A12s (A55 leading) headed through Blackney Pass followed by the A36s. After a brief gap the I15s (I43 leading) and the I31s came through also. They all stalled briefly in the entrance of Blackney. Two cruisehips and one very aggressive boat added noise and concern to the passing.

The groups are moving onward toward the Ecological Reserve, perhaps with A12s in the lead. CP reported that the last group past were the I68s with I46 at 6pm.
