Some of the A42s went in for a rub. A66 looked very involved. The I15s further to the west passed under the Cliff. The A36s were not far away at that time. The A42s have since returned to Robson Bight. Meanwhile, a group of Biggs entered Johnstone Strait via Weynton Pass. They have been identified as the T19s with T18. They are moving east.

The A36s being the gentlemen they are led the A42s back to the Strait. We believe I76 was travelling again with the A42s. Then followed the rest of the I15s who had come around Blod Head and east in Blackfish Sound. The R4s have left to the west after parting company earlier this morning after travelling through Weynton Pass with the others.

The western movement continues. The whales according to the Cliff are spread out from the Sophias to the Western Boundary. The R4s may be off Robson Point.

Multiple pod calls audible.

After the I15s and A5s touched in on the Main rubbing beach they turned and headed back to Robson Bight where we heard them for a short while. The Rs were over on the other side when going east. They have been fairly silent but we imagine they are part of the swing back west.

Apparently the orcas are spread across Jonstone Strait from Boat Bay to the Vancouver Island shore still east bound. We should mention that once the incoming groups got into the Strait the A36s became more evident. They are calling now.

We're hearing distant A & G clan calls on the Critical Point hydrophone, as the orcas make their way east in Johnstone Strait. No Rs for a while, but they're in the Strait too..

It had looked hopeful for a while that the whales might choose Blackney. However, the whales elected to go through Weynton Passage and are just now entering Johnstone Strait. Lovely to hear all three clans together and very neat how the A5s went up to meet them coming in.

Get ready! It is going to be a busy night! Here come the Rs, the I15s, the afore mentioned A5s. They are all in Blackfish Sound headed to Blackney Pass by the sounds of it. Pretty exciting.

After reaching the Bight the A5 group ( A23s and A25s) along with the A36s fell silent. Now, we are finally hearing clear A5 calls in Blackfish Sound.
