Boat noise

From Nick Templeman: Had a lot of ressies down our way (eastern Johnstone Strait) today. 23's and 25's were found westing out of Nodales this morning. They were left at Camp Point westing at around 1:45pm. Also the A24's, A46, and 3-4 others (no id) came out of Cordero Channel this am and went all the way down to Devils Hole. Here they turned and went West and bucked the flood in Devils Hole for a few hours and have just made it to Nodales Chan where they are headed west. Meanwhile Jackie Hildering just let us know that the I11s are milling off the Stephenson Islets/Weynton Pass so they have not gone too far. Slow day!

No calls but orcas nearby

It turns out to be the I11s headed towards Telegrapg Cove. They are spread out and it is not the entire pod. The I12s are not present.

No calls but orcas nearby

A few things to report: yesterday Scott of Salmon Coast reported that there were 2000+ (yes that is right) dolphins off the Pemphrase ,Tribune Channel. We had dolphins in Blackney this morning and the whale watch boats are trying to sort out the small group of orcas heading west past Turn Point in Johnstone Strait. The guysin eastern JS are reporting the A23/25s.
