Orcas near mics.

Sounds like the A34s have come back from the east. Someone touched in briefly at the Main beach and then carried on to the west arriving shortly at Critical Point. The A24s were last seen continuing westward in Queen Charlotte Strait earlier today. beautiful evening and now orcas too.

No calls but orcas nearby

Just after 6am the a24s went through Blackney Pass and headed into Blackfish Sound. The whale watch boats were able to locate them off Bold Hear later this morning. They were continuing west. We also heard the A34s/A46 and the a23s/25s this morning . tThey were last heard distantly in Johnstone Strait around 5:30am.

Distant calls audible.

We are hearing some echolocation and calls. Sounds like the orcas are near the Bight. Apparently, very loud tug boat is westing in the Johnstone Strait.
