No calls but orcas nearby

After running up the Vancouver Island shore past Blinkhorn the A23s and A25s turned and are headed back east.

Orcas hunting fish.

Whales from the east! Arriving just now at Critical Point, Robson Bight. Most likely the A23s/A25s.

No orcas present.

From Jake Etzkorn in lower Johnstone Strait for yesterday afternoon: "Busy evening at Chatham - Yogi (as identified by Nick the whale watcher) performed a series of breaches (10 in all) across the mouth of Nodales Ch. then continued west. Meanwhile the A23's and 25's traveled down from Ripple Point, crossed over to E. Thurlow and eventually headed up Nodales Ch. after a bit of feeding."

No orcas present.

We know, thanks to Kate, that the A34s with A46must have left Johnstone Strait (most likely via Weynton Pass) and headed into Queen Charlotte Strait. Kate reports that they passed Bere Point to the west about 1/2 hour ago. Thanks Kate!
