The A25s followed the A23s below the Cliff headed for CP (almost there) and the I35s turned and went back to Queen Charlotte Strait.

Orcas near mics.
Hearing very close calls on the rubbing beach hydrophone at the moment... maybe we will hear a rub soon?!

Orcas near mics.
We had the A23's & A25's come through Blackney Pass heading South into the Johnston Strait. Great sounds right now on the CrPt Hydrophone as they head East down the Strait. Maybe they are going for a rub?

No orcas present.
We had a quiet night. We lost track of the A23s and A25s around 8pm in Johnstone Strait. Either they went out via Weynton Pass or slipped silently to the east. We never heard the A36s come back from the east. Meanwhle Jared Towers, returning from the DFO survey aboard the Tully, reported a large group of orcas yesterday in Queen Charlotte Sound north of Vancouver Island. This was great news for the population survey. Hats off to this effort. Included in the group were the A30s and the G3s.
