Performing maintenanceWe are working on the system to make it better (Paul up trees etc) but it will be a while before we have a stable signal. Yhanks for your patience. The A30s and Co continued east. Blackney has been a humpback playground this evening.

Boat noise

The A30s continued to the east. At Noon they were reported by the Naiad Explorer off the Adam River. There was mention of the A36s at the same time. Meanwhile, the transient who went north through Blackney Pass after 8:30am were identified by Jared Towers as the T77s and the T75Bs. They continued into Queen Charlotte Str. and were off Bowlder Pt. at 12:15pm.

Distant calls audible.

Perhaps the group that has gone north in Blackney Pass might be Bigg's whales. Boat Bay had a group of unidentified orcas go west at 7am. Then at 8:32am Momoko at CP saw a group enter Blackney Pass. We may have heard faint blows.

No calls but orcas nearby

Interesting! There are whales going north through Blackney Pass right now. What is going on? It is foggy so we can't see who and they are not calling either.

Orcas near mics.

We have been listening to the A30s back in Johnstone Strait. We think there is an A4 group there with as well. Where are the A36s?
