Distant calls audible.

The whales are coming back from the east!We are hearing distant calls on the Rubbing Beaches.

Distant calls audible.

After having gone back to the east in the early morning, the whales are back to Robson Bight again.

No calls but orcas nearby

While the group of resident Orcas went quiet in Johnstone Strait a group of 4 Transients circled sealions in front of the lab for almost an hour. when they decided to go south towards the rocks with the sealions, about 30-40 sealions jumped off the rocks and started chasing the Transients until they got out of sight heading towards Johnstone Strait. Very exciting and interesting!
