No orcas present. Just before 7pm we saw our first humpbacks in Blackney Pass! There were two. We last saw them heading north past the Parson Island light. Neither presented their flukes but we managed to get distant pictures of dorsal fins. We will send these on to Christie and Co to have a look. This was of special interest after the incident where a breaching whale was hit accidently by a boat in johnstone Strait. Everyone is now on the look out for a possibly injured whale. The driver of the boat was badly injured and we hope his recovery goes well. Helena,Kate & Paul 16 May 2013 22:16:25 PDT |
