Sounds as though the orcas reported off Pt. McNeill are Bigg's. Thanks Alex for the update. Wonder where the G17s got to yesterday?

There are a number of orcas reported to be feeding amongst the herring off Pt. McNeill. Last week Angela and I separately saw a number of salmon jumping. Perhaps there are chinook salmon following the herring??

No orcas present.

Almost Spring folks! After a bit of hail, a little rain, the sun is out, the flowers are opening up, the ocean is calm and maybe even whales on their way! Nice.

Angela from GNN Marine Services reported G38, 2 more males and a few females off Pt. Hardy airport at noon. They were heading our direction at the time and the seas were very rough. Also, Darryl from Sointula reported two orcas close to shore yesterday at 1340. One male and one female. Thanks Darryl and Angela!

Superb sounds!!

Very nice Bigg's calls in Johnstone Strait! Unfortunately the hydrophones they are vocalizing on are glitching but still nice.
